What this website collects

  • Custom order requests and messages: your name, email, what you tell us and any photos you attach. Used only to reply. Lawful basis: your consent, and steps you ask for before a contract.
  • Newsletter: your email and optional first name, to send news of new designs and collections. Lawful basis: your consent. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • “Buy on Etsy” clicks: which product button was pressed and on which page. No personal information is stored.
  • Analytics: only if it's switched on and you accept statistics cookies. See the cookie policy.

Who helps run the site

Your information is stored and processed by these providers on Scarlet Yarn's behalf: Vercel (website hosting), Neon (database, London region), Cloudflare (images, file storage and spam protection) and Formspree (forwarding messages by email). If analytics is switched on, Google Analytics. Some providers are based in the US and use approved safeguards for international transfers.

How long it's kept

Messages and attached photos are deleted 12 months after the last contact, unless they become an order. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe.
